Inequality Hurts Us All: Labor and the Environment Workshop

Sponsored by the Sierra Club and Southeast Michigan Jobs with Justice. Detroit DSA is a member of Jobs with Justice.

Based on Les Leopold’s book Inequality Hurts Us All, join us and learn about the connections between the labor movement and the environment. We will discuss ways to work together to fight inequality, achieve justice, and create a more equitable world.

Southeast Michigan Jobs with Justice/Unity Campaign(SEMJWJ/UC), Communications Workers of America (CWA) and Metro Detroit A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) have co-sponsored six "Reversing Runaway Inequality" workshops so far. An excellent Movement Building tool, this 1/2 day, interactive training has brought together almost 150 union, community, peace, civil rights, social justice and other progressive activists throughout Metro Detroit.
