Water for Profit or People?

Panel discussion sponsored by Women's International League for Peace & Freedom.

Michigan has no shortage of water woes: shut-offs in Detroit, the lead crisis in Flint, water takings by Nestle, environmental threats to the Great Lakes, and proposed cuts to federal funding for the lakes. Hear panelists talk about these issues and how you can advocate for clean, accessible water.

Panelists: Maureen Taylor, Michigan Welfare Rights Organization; Dorthe√° Thomas, Detroit & Great Lakes Organizer with Sierra Club Michigan Chapter; others TBA
