On August 18th, the nurses union MNA-UMPNC, which represents the 6,200 nurses who work at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, announced they would be holding a vote for a ULP work stoppage in response to managements refusal to negotiate staffing ratios in their new contract. This is the first step of many towards a possible work stoppage. The nurses are fighting for safe staffing and prioritizing patients over profits.
Will you show up on the picket line in solidarity for the nurses fighting for safe staffing?
