Sundays in Cass Park with Friends and Forgotten Workers Fundraiser

A dedicated group of volunteers has been bringing healthy, nutritious meals to Cass Park for almost 6 years. They are at the park on the second and fourth Sundays of every month, all year 'round, rain or snow or summer heat.

This fundraiser is the main source of income for this effort. It keeps the sausage in the jambalaya.

Jim and The Wobbly Kitchen ( Detroit) will be serving a delicious SPAGHETTI DINNER with two kinds of sauces—veggie or meat, a beautiful green salad with mixed vegetables and assorted dressings, garlic bread, and a dessert table that could be a meal in itself.

The performers will be Chris Buhalis, and King Sweat Detroit -- there will be dancing

There will again be a Tin Can Raffle, with some wonderful prizes. And there will be a 50-50 raffle during the evening. You can see some of the prizes at https://www.facebook.com/MCHR-Sundays-in-the-Park-815671338489187/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1108749712514680 (I don't know why I can't just "tag" the photo album. FB isn't perfect, I guess.)

Organizers are asking for a $15 donation. They hope that you give as much as you can afford, but nobody will be turned away.

Two notes about parking:

1) Only the fenced lot behind the League and the row along the east side of the building are GL property (free). The big lot east of the League is privately owned, and he is now charging to park.

2) Parking zones have recently been created in Corktown for street parking. Observe parking fee collection units on each block.

Will you come?
